M/V Mason-Dixon

The M./V Mason-Dixon is a 48' 2007 Jenneau that has spent the last two off-seasons with us. Each season we have performed various maintenance and repair chores aboard the boat, but this season proved extremely interesting. In addition to sanding and painting the bottom, detailing the boat, performing scheduled engine maintenance and applying Propspeed, the owner asked us to refinish the teak and varnish work, repair gelcoat patches, install a drain for the refrigeration unit, install a new air conditioning duct to the aft crew quarters and install a hydraulic Freedom Lift.

The Freedom Lift is a hydraulic personal watercraft carrier. Our crew had to first install the hardware on the lift and then mount the lift to the boat, as seen above. They then had to fiberglass the bonding plate and the mounting plate to make an airtight seal.	After the hardware was in place, our crew installed the hydraulic pump system and the cable supports. A final test proved the lift to be working properly and ready for the water.
This shows the old, weathered teak on the swim platform. We sanded, cleaned and oiled not only this area but the entire aft deck.	When we finished, the teak looked brand new. The owner was very pleased with the work.
We made several small gelcoat repairs along the stern of the boat.	We applied Propspeed to the props, shafts and rudders to ensure minimal fouling
