S/V Wind Wing

The S/V Wind Wing is a 45 foot catamaran with a 24 foot beam that came onto our yard in the fall of 2008. Our crew sanded and painted the boat bottom, raising the waterline 2 inches as requested by the captain. We then stepped the mast and moved the boat into the building, using our carriage runway system, so that our paint crew could spray paint the hull and topsides of the boat. Additionally, we performed upgrades to the anchor windlass, new thruhulls, an electrical bonding system and fiberglass repairs. Several leaks were fixed and we detailed the entire vessel prior to launch.

Dragon Sail
Prior to stepping the mast, we unfurled the sail to get a good picture of the dragon. At the owner's request, we designed and painted the dragon on the bow of both hulls.

Painting hull and Topsides
Once the mast was stepped, we brought the boat into the building, where our crew did a wonderful job of painting the hull and topsides.
Restepping the mast
Once the painting was finished, it was time to restep the mast to prepare for launch.

Here you can see the finished paint jobs, complete with the dragon on the side of the bow.
