While we fix up your boat, there are plenty of places to visit in the local area. Here are some of our favorites:

Beaufort's 300th AnniversaryThis year our home port of Beaufort is proud to be celebrating it's 300th anniversary. Different festivals and activities are planned throughout the summer, with everything culminating in a 2 week long "Homecoming" during the month of September. Food & Cocktails

Ribeye's Steakhouse in Beaufort is a great place if you are in the mood for steak! They will cut and cook any size Ribeye to order and paired with their endless salad bar, potato and toast you will walk away completely satisfied. Check out their bar for great live entertainment and the best place in Beaufort to watch the game.

Clawson's 1905 serves a delicious lunch or dinner. Located on the Beaufort waterfront, it is nestled in the heart of Beaufort's historic district and provides great sandwiches, seafood, and a variety of entrees sure to satisfy any craving.

Aqua's, located behind Clawson's 1905, menu is created to bring you the freshest seasonal items available presented with a creative touch. Aqua’s small plates offer you an exciting array of tastes in ‘just right” portions ideal for passing around the table or enjoying two or three as a full meal. Aqua’s Big Plates feature the freshest North Carolina seafood and Choice Beef Filet, as well as local produce when it’s seasonally available.

The Dockhouse is a great place to kick back and enjoy some drinks out on the deck. Located adjacent to the Dockmasters' office on the Beaufort waterfront, you can enjoy good company as you look at the water and listen to live bands just about every night.

The Cru Wine Bar in Beaufort is a great place to hang out. Pick out your wine and share the bottle among friends as you sit back and enjoy great live entertainment.

Backstreet Pub in Beaufort brings boaters back year after year. Serving beer and wine, this is the place where everyone hangs. Sailors and locals mingle together to have fun and enjoy spending time in the place that has become known as Beaufort's Living Room. Music is a major draw on weekends.

Picatta's is the place to go in Morehead City. Located on the main drag, across the railroad tracks from the Sanitary, they cook some of the best food in the area! Fresh, local seafood and delicious entrees are the standard fare. You've got to try the ribs!

Front Street Grille at Stillwater is a wonderful place on the Beaufort Waterfront. Serving lunch and dinner, as well as brunch on Sundays, sit back and enjoy great food with a waterfront view. An outside and inside bar provide the best cocktails, and we recommend sitting on the deck around sunset; you might see some dolphin swimming by.

The Ruddy Duck Tavern in Morehead City is a great restaurant on the water. You can bring your boat up and enjoy an amazing lunch or dinner.

William’s Restaurant offers casual fine dining on the waterfront in Morehead City, an easy drive from Atlantic Beach, Emerald Isle and Beaufort.

Places to shop

Historic downtown Beaufort is loaded with great shops and gift stores! The Historic Beaufort website offers a detailed history and complete area attractions guide.

Scuttlebutt's in Beaufort is a wonderful place for nautical books and maps. They carry a full selection of maps, interesting marine related books -- many detailing accounts of the local waterways -- and current nautical magazines.

Harbor Specialties lovely shops specialize in nautical sportswear and accessories such as Tilley hats, Hadley pottery, Sperry deck shoes, Vera Bradley Bags, Henri Lloyd rain gear, Tervis tumblers, Aqua Puff bags, nautical code flags, and a large selection of hats and caps.

The Rocking Chair Bookstore, in business for 30 years, specializes in local interest books for children and adults, hard-to-find and collectible books, coastal and marine lore, and works by North Carolina authors.

Island Traders is a great little clothing store where you can find a variety of apparel for women, men and children. The price is affordable and you never know what little treasures you might find browsing through their racks.

Beaufort Trading Company, has one of the best selection of Beaufort NC clothes, hats and more. No matter what your needs are   ...they've got your family covered.  They are the only retailer in Beaufort to offer Columbia, Teva, and Sea Dog Sportswear.

Places to stay

Area Attractions

The North Carolina Maritime Museum in Beaufort collects, preserves, researches, documents, and interprets the maritime history, culture, and environment of coastal North Carolina. The museum and its facilities—especially its auditorium, library, and Watercraft Center—are made available to community, civic, and educational groups.

Fort Macon State Park offers public access to the surf, sun and sand of the Crystal Coast—as well as a historic landmark.The park is home to a Civil War fort with a history as intricate and unique as the waterways of the sound. Visit Fort Macon to enjoy the land's natural beauty and soak up some history.

The North Carolina Aquarium at Pine Knoll Shores was created to promote an awareness, understanding, appreciation, and conservation of the diverse natural and cultural resources associated with North Carolina’s ocean, estuaries, rivers, streams, and other aquatic environments.

Tryon Palace was originally built between 1767 and 1770, as the first permanent capitol of the Colony of North Carolina and a home for the Royal Governor and his family. Located in New Bern, about 45 minutes away, the palace offers tours of its historic sites and its beautiful gardens.

The Crystal Coast Jamboree is 2 hours of high energy entertainment that blends comedy and dancing with everything from country to gospel to oldies and a patriotic salute.  Every show is packed with an extraordinary variety of talent that fans "young and old alike" are applauding as the hottest ticket at the beach.

The Friends of the North Carolina Maritime Museum is a private, non-profit organization designed to provide a partnership between the State of North Carolina and all supporters of North Carolina's rich maritime heritage. Their goal is to ensure that the citizens of North Carolina will always have access to the rich maritime heritage of the state.

The Boys and Girls Club of Coastal Carolina is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping the youths of coastal North Carolina reach their full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens.

Founded in 1943, ABBRA serves to strengthen and to encourage the professionalism of the marine service industry through the sharing of knowledge and the search for solutions to common problems.
